I have to say, one of my favorite things about my job is getting to woodwork. I absolutely love it! There are so many things you can do if you have the right tools and these farmhouse signs that I sell in my shop are one of my favorite items. Not only are they easy to customize, but they can be a focal point in a room.
I have a wood sign over my bed that quotes a verse in the Song of Solomon, and I really enjoy waking up every morning and reading it. The Bible says in Deuteronomy 11 to,
“Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as reminders on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, speaking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates…”.
Now I know that these signs are not written on our doorposts, but I still think it is so important to keep God’s word before us as a reminder. I used to write Scripture verses on post-it notes and stick them all over my house, which I honestly still should do, but these signs make it so that it is also a beautiful décor piece as well!
