I’ve always dreamed of opening my own small business, I just honestly never knew how or even what to do. All I knew was that I hated working behind a desk all day. I loved interacting with people, but I felt like there were never enough opportunities to learn and try new things. I’m just not the sort of person that is happy doing the same thing over and over. Needless to say, I job hopped quite a bit, hoping that the next job would bring more fulfillment than the next, but it never did.
Now, that’s not to say that I didn’t love some of my jobs, because I truly did. But, I often found myself getting bored very quickly.
Then 2020 happened…
Because of what was going on in the world, I found myself with
additional downtime due to the slow down in the real estate market (I was a
real estate agent at the time), and that is when I started to dabble again in
art. Over the course of those months, it finally hit me that this was it! I
could start a business doing what I love! I love interior design, woodworking,
and crafting. Why not mix all of those and open an Etsy shop! So, that is what
I did, although in 2020 I only posted digital downloadable art, it was a start.
In early 2021, I started to add physical items to my shop and that is when I actually
started to see growth. Now I can not only do what I love, but through this blog
I can also talk about WHO I love, Jesus Christ! This job is truly a dream come
true and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to do what I love!
